Job summary

Space Kinetic is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to perform structural analysis across spacecraft, payload, and deployment-system hardware. This role requires urgency, ownership, and a willingness to push beyond conventional space architectures.

You will conduct static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses using FEM/FEA tools, develop models, define load cases, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, systems, and test engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of structural analysis or related experience.
• Strong background in statics, dynamics, and materials fatigue.
• Proficiency with FEMAP/NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus.
• Ability to validate models with hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform static, thermo-mechanical, dynamic, and fatigue analyses.
• Develop models to predict stress, deformation, and margins of safety.
• Define load cases and environments for spacecraft hardware.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, systems, and test engineers.
• Lead design trades and mass optimization.
• Document findings and present reviews.
