Job summary

The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is seeking a Senior Manager for its Special Projects team. The role spans multiple high-priority initiatives, building operational backbones, scoping go-to-market plans, and designing scalable processes.

You will work closely with leadership to translate ambitious goals into concrete workstreams with clear owners and milestones. This generalist position emphasizes rapid, structured, data-informed execution with end-to-end ownership from A to Z across Public

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, business strategy, GTM strategy, program management, or a strategy/operations role at a high-growth company.
• Experience taking projects from ambiguity to finished outcomes with limited guidance and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Able to move across very different problems and context quickly, not narrowly specialized.

Responsibilities

• Take fuzzy priorities from leadership and turn them into scoped plans, timelines, and concrete deliverables with defined owners.
• Design and stand up new processes, systems, or programs that can run and scale without one person’s handholding.
• Lead scaling and go-to-market efforts for new initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Dig into data to diagnose problems, size opportunities, and justify actions using research and judgment.
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams as a trusted operator on high-priority problems.
