Job summary

The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) seeks a Senior Manager, Programs to design and operate field-building programs that convene researchers, policymakers, and professionals. You will own end-to-end delivery, from scoping and budgeting to execution and evaluation, reporting to the VP of Operations.

You’ll lead a Programs team, manage external partners, and ensure programs meet ambitious standards and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• A track record of designing and launching multi-stakeholder programs.
• Ability to scope, plan, budget, and deliver programs end-to-end.
• Experience leading teams and external partners with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Define goals, scope, stakeholders, and budget for programs.
• Build plans and run programs with high quality and measurable impact.
• Recruit participants, manage speakers, and design agendas.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor the Programs team.
• Monitor risks, escalate issues, and ensure documentation.
