Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Sr. Strategy & Market Intelligence Manager to lead strategic planning, market intelligence, and M&A activities within the Aerospace & Advanced Technologies segment.

You will build long-term market forecasts, assess adjacencies, screen targets, and present insights to the executive team, collaborating with VP/GMs and cross-functional partners to shape growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in strategy, market intelligence, marketing, product management, or business development in the aerospace and defense industry and/or related industries.
• Previous experience at a management consulting company is preferred.
• Proficient in M&A prospecting, conducting strategic analyses, market research and diligence.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a positive, high‑performing culture.
• Ability to understand complex markets and technology trends within Aerospace & Defense and adjacent sectors.
• Experience developing go-to-market strategies and adjacent market strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct M&A target identification, screening, and profiling for attractive adjacencies.
• Lead strategic planning process for select businesses within the AAT segment; build annual plans and present findings.
• Coordinate input across business units to develop strategy and value creation plans for acquired assets.
• Conduct market analysis to build long-term forecasts for strategic planning and decision making.
• Create, consolidate, and monitor forecasts, competitor trends, and PMI rates for planning and analysis.
• Present quarterly competitive analyses to executive team with actionable insights.
