Breg, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team in a hybrid, full-time role.

You will lead sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and build cost models to optimize procurement across medical device product lines. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in sourcing, global supplier experience (Asia), and a track record of delivering cost reductions while maintaining quality and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive Supply Chain/Sourcing experience, including 3+ years of leadership.
• Global sourcing experience with emphasis on Asia.
• APICS CPIM/CIRM/CSCP certification preferred.
• Experience using AI productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management.
• Analyze procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies.
• Assess supplier spend to identify opportunities for consolidation and better terms.
• Lead negotiating contracts with key suppliers on costs, terms and quality.
• Develop should-cost models using inputs from materials, labor, and logistics.
• Collaborate with procurement to identify new supplier opportunities.
• Conduct market research and forecast cost estimates.
