Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category development, supplier selection, and spend optimization across technology services. You will drive RFx processes, govern supplier performance, and collaborate with Legal, Info Security, and Third-Party Governance to secure favorable terms.

This role requires 10+ years in procurement, strong analytics (Coupa/SAP Ariba/Ivalua), and proven negotiation skills.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing
6+ years sourcing software and complex technology services
BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain or equivalent
Experience with eSourcing and spend analytics tools such as Coupa/SAP Ariba/Ivalua
Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools a plus
Strong negotiation and contract management experience
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Category management and complex sourcing events (RFP/RFI/RFQ)

Responsibilities

Develop category management plans and sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and performance targets
Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute supplier initiatives
Develop analytics on savings, metrics, and KPIs to monitor progress
Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance across teams
Support RFx efforts by guiding project teams through supplier selection
Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance on source-to-pay processes
Manage strategic procurement engagement with one or more business units
