Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive category development, procurement engagement, and sourcing execution in collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders.

The role is remote with availability to work CST or PST hours and requires 10+ years in procurement with strong negotiation and contract-management experience. You will lead RFx projects and manage supplier performance across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Procurement/Sourcing, incl. 6+ years in software/tech sourcing.
• BA/BS in Business Admin, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Experience with eSourcing and spending analytics tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua).
• Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills.
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools is a plus.
• Extensive negotiation and contract management experience.
• Ability to lead complex sourcing events (RFP, RFI, RFQ).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category management plans and sourcing strategies to negotiate and ensure cost savings/avoidance and performance targets are achieved.
• Establish and lead cross-functional teams to define business requirements and execute supplier initiatives that create value, improve quality, and reduce risk.
• Develop analytical reports on savings, metrics, and KPIs to monitor progress.
• Provide cross-functional and top-down visibility into supplier spend and performance.
• Support RFx efforts by leading project teams through supplier selection processes.
• Partner with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance to usher agreements through source-to-pay workflows with favorable terms.
• Manage strategic procurement engagement with one or more key business units.
