Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category management, engagement with internal customers, and sourcing execution. The role requires extensive experience in procurement, strong analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Location is remote with CST/PST hours; salary range is $125,000–$140,000 annually plus incentive potential. The position emphasizes risk reduction, supplier performance, and value creation for partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in Procurement/Sourcing, including 6+ years in sourcing software and complex technology services.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Experience eSourcing and spending analytics tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua) and strong Excel/Google Suite skills.
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools is a plus.
• Extensive negotiation and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category management plans and sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and performance targets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute supplier initiatives that create value and reduce risk.
• Develop analytical reports on savings, metrics, and KPIs to monitor progress against objectives.
• Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance across the organization.
• Support RFx efforts by guiding project teams through supplier selection processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance to secure favorable terms in source-to-pay workflows.
• Manage procurement engagement with one or more key business units.
