Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Strategic Product Sourcing Engineer for Intelligence Systems. You will own the end-to-end supply chain, including BOM engineering support, vendor onboarding, and cost negotiations for the Intelligence & Space business line.

The role involves collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure timely delivery, manage NPI and mass production costs, and drive value-stream improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time, variable based on program needs.
• Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Ashville, OH.
• This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3 month training period before transitioning to Ashville, OH

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into engineering BOM, ensuring parts can be sourced and procured
• Conduct supplier selection using approved list and onboarding of unique vendors
• Drive on-time delivery with innovative approaches to space industry lead-times
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing
• Manage total cost of the program including NPI and mass production
• Map value-stream to optimize lead time and flexibility
• Complete BOM risk assessment and identify alternate sourcing
• Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production
• Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
• Lead cost engineering to converge costs and maximize total ownership cost
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues like tariffs and import costs
