Job summary

Serco is seeking a Strategic Planner to support Army Sustainment Command (ASC) at Rock Island, IL, and across CONUS/OCONUS locations. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and senior-level planning expertise to develop OPORDs, COAs, and staff estimates for joint commands.

Occasional travel (up to 10%) and MS Word/PowerPoint proficiency are expected. The successful candidate will contribute to high-profile, complex logistics and sustainment initiatives, coordinating with

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship required.
Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years in Joint/U.S. Army HQs, or Associate’s degree plus 12 years, or HS diploma plus 14 years in relevant HQ environments.
Graduate of SAMS or JIPOC preferred but not mandatory.
MEL4, Support Operations Course, and logistics deployment experience are advantageous.
Understanding of JOPP and Army sustainment enterprise relationships is essential.
Experience at one-star or higher command is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Assist ASC visibility at TS/SCI level events.
Develop staff estimates, COAs, OPORDs, FRAGORDs, and WARNORDs for COCOM plans.
Analyze ASC’s role and mission within the Army and conduct mid/long-range planning.
Implement action plans and develop staff estimates to support theater strategy and mobilization.
Create executable sustainment plans and coordinate with AFSB on regional/worldwide plans.
Prepare briefings and maintain accessible operations/plans files; monitor changing requirements.
