Job summary

STRS Ohio is seeking a Communications Strategist or Senior Communications Strategist for the Executive/ Communications and Public Affairs team. The role focuses on developing and coordinating communications across internal and external audiences, with an emphasis on clear, audience-centered messaging and strategic project management.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field and several years of experience in communications, plus APR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field required.
• 3+ years of related experience in communications, public relations, writing or content development preferred.
• APR certification preferred for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing presentations, talking points, video scripts, news releases and social content for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to produce material for diverse channels and stakeholders.
• Develop, edit and proofread clear, audience-focused content for print, digital and internal communications.
• Translate technical information into concise, accessible communications and measure audience impact.
