Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Strategic Analytics Associate within Risk Management and Compliance to transform data into actionable insights across the account lifecycle. You will work with risk teams to shape strategy, operational controls, and performance monitoring while partnering with governance, legal, and compliance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Risk Management or other quantitative experience.
• Educational or professional background in statistics, econometrics, finance, or a quantitative field.
• Highly skilled at SQL coding, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
• Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information.
• Ability to structure analyses with strong analytical, interpretive, and problem solving skills.
• Experience delivering recommendations to management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts
• Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
• Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers
• Conduct complex analysis including data collection, analysis, visualization and presentation of results to partners and management in support of card acquisition strategies and new product/feature initiatives
• Support formulation of risk strategy and product roadmap, partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams
• Mange risk strategies to drive financial performance and risk mitigation improvements while innovating to ensure optimal strategy performance with growth mindset
• Work closely with Risk Governance, Legal and Compliance to ensure policies comply with laws and regulations
• Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management
