Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Strategic Analytics Associate in Business Banking Risk to turn complex data into actionable insights that steer credit risk strategy while balancing growth and prudence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in risk management or related field OR Master's with 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong background in statistics, econometrics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in SQL or SAS to query large datasets and build analyses.
• Use predictive analytics to evaluate risk/return tradeoffs and support decisions.
• Explain credit reporting concepts and inform lending decisions and monitoring.
• Familiarity with consumer or business lending lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Quantify credit risk and financial return profiles for new small business lending accounts and client relationships, including establishing risk targets and KPI's.
• Develop analytics-driven recommendations that optimize strategy outcomes across growth, profitability, and credit risk.
• Design and refine lending risk strategy criteria to support quality originations and consistent decisioning.
• Build and maintain periodic reporting on volumes, approval and funding rates, early delinquency, and loss performance.
• Monitor portfolio performance across acquisition funnel and credit lifecycle to identify trends and signals.
• Conduct pre/post-implementation testing to validate strategy changes and impact.
• Analyze driver-level performance to identify what works and where interventions are needed.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate findings into decisions and actions.
• Automate data pulls and reporting to improve timeliness and accuracy.
• Document methodologies, controls, and strategy changes for audit-ready environment.
• Draft evidence-based responses to internal audit and regulatory questions.
