Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Stormwater & Utilities Section Manager in Massachusetts. You will lead a team of drainage/stormwater and utility design engineers, manage budgets, mentor staff, and drive project delivery for transportation projects across MA and RI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience, including 2 years in leadership.
• Experience managing a team of 5–10 engineers and delivering transportation projects.
• Strong technical expertise in drainage/stormwater and utility design throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages section budget and forecast updates.
• Leads and mentors 5–10 engineers, coordinating staffing and priorities.
• Supports SSA and SDA processes in project pursuits and delivery.
• Oversees contracting activities, scope, work plans and fees.
• Contributes to client development, proposals and win-to-work activities.
• Ensures quality work and on-time delivery to clients.
