Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support our Water sector in Baton Rouge, LA, with responsibilities from concept planning to detailed design and construction specifications for municipal drainage and water/wastewater projects.

You will lead a design team, perform hydraulic design focus areas, and coordinate with clients while mentoring staff. This role emphasizes innovative, practical solutions and project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• 10 years or more of relevant experience.
• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE License in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team in preparing engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, and contract specifications.
• Oversee construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients to identify needs and build relationships.
• Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approvals.
