Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Water Management/Hydraulic Structural Team in Baton Rouge, Metairie, or New Orleans, LA. The role involves delivering engineering services for flood risk reduction, waterfront resilience, dam safety, and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, and PE or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within 6 months. Proficiency with STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction for climate adaptation projects.
• Research feasibility of design approaches and site conditions.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with disciplines, staff, clients and sub-contractors throughout the project life cycle.
• Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff.
