Job summary

Baltimore County is seeking a project engineer for the Storm Drainage and Floodplains Management Section within the Bureau of Engineering and Construction. This role provides advanced-level engineering project management for storm drainage projects from design through construction, supervising in-house and consultant staff.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or an Engineer-in-Training certificate with four years' field or office experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; four years' field or office engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training certificate plus four years' field or office engineering experience acceptable.
• Proof of licenses, certifications, and education may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all aspects of storm drainage projects from planning through construction.
• Directs professional and support staff within the section.
• Reviews plans and specifications for storm drainage infrastructure.
• Ensures permits and regulatory approvals are obtained prior to construction.
• Monitors budgets and schedules and approves consultant invoices.
