Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Storage Virtualization Team) for a partner company based in Spain. You will join a high-performance team building distributed storage infrastructure for a next-generation AI cloud platform.

Responsibilities include designing fault-tolerant storage systems, optimizing performance, and collaborating across teams to deliver scalable infrastructure. Strong C++ skills and 6+ years of experience are required, with English communication being essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and building reliable, performance-sensitive software.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of operating system internals including I/O, memory management, and scheduling.
• Experience debugging complex systems across multiple layers.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, storage, virtualization, networking, or cloud infra is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed, fault-tolerant storage systems for large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Build and optimize high-performance block/storage solutions for demanding workloads.
• Develop virtualization components involving virtio-blk, virtio-fs, QEMU, vhost-user, and performance-critical I/O paths.
• Work on high-throughput networking between VMs and storage using TCP and RoCEv2/RDMA.
• Implement storage capabilities including replication, consensus, self-healing, and data migration.
• Analyze and optimize system performance toward sub-millisecond latency and millions of IOPS.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across software, storage, virtualization, networking, and OS layers.
• Write reliable, production-quality code with focus on performance and fault tolerance.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver robust infrastructure at scale.
• Participate in coding interviews and technical evaluations.
