Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Storage Systems Administrator to operate and secure enterprise storage platforms across distributed environments. You will ensure high availability, data integrity, and performance while supporting DR and modernization efforts.

The role requires hands-on storage administration experience, DoD IA certifications, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Onsite work and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is required or 8+ years of IT experience in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph is required.
• DoD 8140 Information Assurance workforce certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE) expected.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS, backup/replication) in multinetwork environments.
• US citizenship required.
• Onsite location for the role.

Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, and maintain enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage) across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability; diagnose and remediate issues.
• Support backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery operations across networks.
• Manage provisioning, access controls, share permissions, and user/group mappings for secure data access.
• Troubleshoot storage issues involving connectivity, protocols, and integration with compute, virtualization, and network services.
• Perform lifecycle tasks including firmware updates and configuration changes for storage infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, server, virtualization, and monitoring teams for storage capabilities and refresh.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, storage diagrams, and operational artifacts.
