Olgoonik Corporation is seeking a Storage Manager for a DoD distribution facility in San Diego. You will lead physical and systemic storage operations, ensure accurate WMS configurations, and drive capacity optimization in a high-security environment.

Responsibilities include supervising storage locations, coordinating with Government personnel, and maintaining planography drawings while ensuring strict adherence to DoD and DLA requirements. A relevant degree and DoD clearance are preferred.

Qualificações

• Minimum of three years in DoD distribution and warehouse operations at large-scale centers.
• Three+ years of direct supervisory or managerial experience over warehouse personnel.
• Five+ years using automated WMS within the past seven years.
• Experience managing storage locations, capacity, space utilization, or related functions.
• Experience using WMS data to analyze utilization and support decisions.
• Ability to plan re-warehousing, slotting, consolidation, and storage optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and oversight of physical and systemic warehouse storage operations.
• Manage the integrity of storage configurations: locations, bins, dimensions, capacities.
• Supervise creation and maintenance of systemic storage bin locations in the WMS.
• Ensure WMS reflects physical storage characteristics accurately.
• Label and identify locations per DoD/DLA requirements and naming conventions.
• Coordinate warehouse layouts with Government Storage Analyst and WMS settings.
• Reflect changes in warehouse configurations on official planography drawings.
• Monitor capacity and density using WMS data and reports.
• Analyze utilization data to identify locations below 50% density.
• Plan and direct re-warehousing to improve utilization and capacity.
• Consolidate similar materiel to remove redundant locations.
• Maximize volumetric density while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Optimize storage slotting for pick-cycle times and fast-moving materiel.
• Maintain vacant locations for new cargo inductions and workload needs.
• Coordinate storage moves to minimize disruption across functions.
• Develop storage plans balancing capacity, accessibility, safety, and characteristics.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, changes, and capacity activities.
• Provide reports and recommendations on utilization, density, and capacity needs.
• Supervise and develop warehouse personnel performing storage and handling.
• Ensure all operations comply with DoD, DLA, safety, environmental, and contract requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in storage configuration and accuracy.
