Job summary

Cogent, an Applied AI Lab in the cybersecurity space, is hiring a Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to own data storage, protection, and scale. You will implement backup and encryption policies across Aurora RDS, Clickhouse, and MSK, and build dashboards to monitor capacity, performance, and cost.

You will also develop a Storage Operations Agent to streamline incident triage and remediation workflows. The role requires deep data infrastructure experience, Python and Golang coding, and IaC

Qualifications

• 3–6 years at a successful tech company (Senior, Staff+)
• Strong coding in Python and Golang
• Experience with data stores: Aurora RDS, Clickhouse, Kafka / AWS MSK, Postgres
• Familiarity with table formats and lakehouse patterns, including Iceberg

Responsibilities

• Standardize backup, restore, retention, and encryption policies across Aurora / RDS, Clickhouse, and MSK
• Build storage observability dashboards for capacity, performance, replication, lag, and cost
• Create a Storage Operations Agent for incident triage, slow-query investigation, and remediation workflows
