Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Architect to define strategic architecture direction for GOTSSCDP and deliver high quality solutions across multiple programs. You will shape the target operating environment, support client resiliency, and contribute to architecture roadmaps.

Lead cross‑domain architecture, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure non‑functional requirements are met through thoughtful design and proactive reviews.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in developing technology solutions, with 5+ years in Architecture.
• Academic education in Technology/Engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in defining solutions to solve large scale, complex business problems with high resiliency, scalability, performance, and concurrency requirements.
• Proficient in researching and understanding new technology solutions and presenting essential comparisons, pros/cons, and target use cases.
• Adept at IT operations, Agile Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, and Systems Architectures.
• Proficient in collaborating with business and technical resources to understand and develop solutions that meet business requirements, translating strategy and objectives when necessary.
• Thought leadership, openness to diverse opinions, and ability to influence in a matrix environment.
• Experience with Terraform and cloud design (AWS/Azure) and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Create solution intents and architectural vision for complex solutions and translate requirements into a technology backlog.
• Contribute to architecture roadmaps across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and assist with system design to support implementation and provide solution options.
• Lead design of complex architectures and balance flexibility with modularity.
• Educate teams on technology practices, standards, and best practices.
• Assist in selecting technology stacks and products for solutions.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, reliability).
• Create and maintain target application architecture and blueprints with strategic roadmaps.
• Map plans for horizontal components across GOTSSCDP.
• Analyze new technology for best fit and work across projects using waterfall and agile methodologies.
