Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, Computer Science or other quantitative analysis discipline
• 6 years relevant progressive experience may substitute education
• 5-7 years underwriting self-funded and converting fully insured prospects to self-funding

Responsibilities

• Renew accounts and write new business at profitable levels; use systems to obtain data and track work.
• Calculate rates and pricing; interpret policy and adapt to unusual situations.
• Identify questionable claim patterns and develop recommendations for prospective clients.
• Apply corporate risk management policies and adjust pricing for client specifics.
• Identify non-compliance with risk policies and enrollment criteria.
• Analyze member risk and coordinate with internal departments to manage it.
• Support fraud detection, compliance, wellness, or product development initiatives.
• Complete renewals and prospect quotes; review lower-level analyst work for quality.
