Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Sterile Processing Technician I to perform decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will work under the Nurse Manager and Sterile Processing leadership to ensure compliance with medical center policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, effective communication, and at least one year of SPD experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination.
• Ability to understand and implement detailed instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as SPD Tech.
• Must have IAHCSMM certification.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures.
• Adhere to state, local and federal requirements.
• Report to the Manager of Sterile Processing and work under supervision to ensure efficient operations.
