Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the night shift, ensure instrument readiness, and maintain infection control standards. You will oversee sterilization, inventory, and staff training while coordinating with OR teams to resolve instrument issues.

This role requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred with experience in central sterile or surgical supply.
• Knowledge of microbiology, aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Experience training staff and leading in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs, prolonged standing, and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift charge person in the absence of department leadership, prioritizing work and ensuring instrument availability.
• Oversee sterilization processes, PPE usage, and deviations from IFU; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory, departments, and equipment; rotate assignments across sterilization areas.
• Train new staff and lead department initiatives; communicate via chain of command.
• Maintain infection control standards and environmental cleanliness; respond to calls from hospital staff.
• Act as primary contact for OR instrument issues and support problem resolution.
