Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening shift. You will work in the Sterile Processing Department to ensure decontamination, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments for perioperative services.

The role requires CRCST/CSPDT certification or 1 year SPD experience and a strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities include maintaining sterilization logs, coordinating with OR schedules, and operating sterilizers, washers, and related equipment while adhering

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or CSPDT/CRCST certification.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to break down, clean, reassemble and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Strong communication and organization to support OR readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide decontamination and sterile processing support across PeriOp Services and hospital departments.
• Handle decontamination, assembly, packaging of surgical instruments and QA documentation.
• Identify procedures, interpret medical terms, and prioritize instrumentation requests to minimize delays.
• Operate sterilizers, washers and QA equipment per manufacturer IFU and policy.
