Job summary

DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a skilled Instrument Technician to coordinate decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of instruments across departments. You will monitor quality assurance and educate staff to ensure accurate documentation and safe, efficient processing.

Active CRCST or CBSPD certification is required, with strong leadership and infection control knowledge.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CBSPD certification required and renewed yearly.
• In-depth knowledge of sterilization processes and infection control.
• Experience with instrument reprocessing and case cart logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee decontamination, sterilization, and storage of instrumentation for user departments.
• Monitor QA standards and verify documentation for all sterilization cycles.
• Train and mentor Instrument Technicians in sterile processing procedures.
• Coordinate case carts and ensure timely delivery to OR, OB, and cath lab.
• Maintain supply levels and master equipment handling in CIS and Lawson contexts.
