Job summary

Amentum seeks a qualified Machinist Mate to provide full-time, onsite support for MARMC in Norfolk, VA. You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on critical propulsion and auxiliary equipment for US Navy ships.

Responsibilities include overseeing repairs, training ship's force, and compiling debrief reports for government SMEs. A Secret clearance is required and travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with gas turbine systems or equivalent mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance, inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance on Code 263 equipment.
• Witness and oversee repairs and shipboard evolutions; compile reports for SME.
• Train ship's force during evolutions and perform data capture for reports.
