Amentum is seeking a Diesel Engine Inspector to support MARMC in Norfolk, VA. The role involves hands-on inspection, troubleshooting, and training of ship's force on Navy diesel engines, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Essential duties include evaluating equipment, documenting findings, and interpreting schematics, while maintaining security clearances and complying with Navy standards.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of experience in operation, repair, maintenance, and assessment of U.S. Navy diesel engines and related systems.
• Active secret US government clearance is required.
• Current US Navy Fleet DEI certification and NEC 4314 are required.
• Recent hands-on experience with the equipment within 24 months.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical assistance, inspections, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and repairs on naval diesel engines.
• Observe cold and hot checks and document out-of-spec readings.
• Witness performance across full range of operation.
• Use appropriate measuring/test equipment to obtain data for evaluation.
• Provide written visit debriefs and reports; attend conferences and meetings.
• Provide on-the-job training to ship's force during evolutions.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics.
