Job summary

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. The Senior Statistician will design, plan, and analyze Phase 1–3 vaccine trials, with initial focus on oral polio vaccines, and oversee CRO partners and statistical outputs.

The role emphasizes statistical leadership, protocol design, analysis plans, and reporting, with collaboration across interdisciplinary teams and international sites. Remote/hybrid work is possible within PATH’s US locations.

Qualifications

• Master or Doctoral degree in biostatistics or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience supporting clinical research.
• Advanced knowledge of biostatistics and clinical trial methodology.
• Experience with vaccine clinical trials preferred; polio or enteric vaccines a plus.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and travel 10–15%.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English to interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as study statistician for Phase 1–3 OPV/nOPV trials.
• Lead or contribute to statistical design including sample size, power, randomization, interim analyses, DSMB support.
• Develop or review SAPs and analyze trial data; contribute to reports and manuscripts.
• Provide statistical support to CVIA's broader development programs and ensure rigorous conclusions.
• Oversee CRO activities, review analysis specs and outputs, manage timelines.
