Job summary

PATH is a global nonprofit focused on health equity, seeking a Senior Statistician to lead statistical design, analysis, and reporting for polio vaccine trials and other CVIA development programs. You will oversee CROs, contribute to protocols and SSIs, and support regulatory submissions in a multidisciplinary, global setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration across teams, and occasional travel, with a focus on oral polio vaccine studies and international trial conduct.

Qualifications

• Master or Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or related field (or equivalent).
• Five+ years of experience in clinical research, including presenting results to external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of biostatistics and clinical trial methodology.
• Vaccine clinical trials experience preferred; polio/enteric vaccines a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SAS and R.
• Ability to support US and international trials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as study statistician for Phase 1–3 OPV/nOPV trials across all phases.
• Lead statistical design including sample size, power calculations, interim analyses, DSMB support.
• Develop/review SAPs and analyze trial data for reports and manuscripts.
• Provide statistical input to regulatory submissions and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee statistical CRO activities and ensure rigorous data reporting.
