Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in state policy or related function; more with masters/MBA or PhD/JD/PharmD.
• Significant experience in state healthcare policy and state government relations.
• Strong ability to analyze legislative and regulatory proposals and translate them into practical business and policy recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting policy materials and executive-level communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as enterprise-wide SME and accountable for designated state policy issues across IA, MN and other states as identified.
• Develop and support implementation of coordinated state policy positions aligned with business objectives.
• Forecast implications of legislative and regulatory changes for Pfizer and healthcare policy.
• Coordinate across Business Units and functions to ensure enterprise alignment on policy priorities.
• Identify opportunities to generate policy evidence and support research and analysis for enterprise objectives.
• Lead or support participation in policy-focused trade associations and coalitions.
