Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Director to lead U.S. Federal policy, focusing on affordability, drug pricing, coverage and reimbursement for government programs. You will translate legislative developments into Pfizer positions, shape advocacy materials, and drive internal alignment with USPGR and business units.

The role requires strong policy analysis, strategic leadership, and external stakeholder engagement to advance Pfizer’s medicines access and policy goals. Hybrid work with NYHQ/DC locations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years working on federal healthcare policy and advocacy in government or private sector.
• Advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with U.S. government healthcare programs.
• Experience in policy analysis, research, and development.
• Experience in implementing strategic and tactical plans.
• Strong strategic analysis and executive decision-support skills.
• Excellent networking and relationship-building across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute policy and advocacy strategies to advance Pfizer’s U.S. healthcare objectives.
• Lead drafting and submission of public comments in response to federal regulatory issuances.
• Provide strategic direction on emerging issues and prepare advocacy materials.
• Lead cross-functional workgroups to assess complex policy changes and financial implications.
• Monitor and analyze healthcare policy landscape to anticipate trends.
• Engage external stakeholders to support policy outcomes and represent Pfizer in associations.
