Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking qualified engineers to optimize supplier performance (SEQCDM) through PDCA in an innovative culture. You will provide technical engineering expertise to ensure parts and processes meet mass production quality requirements and demand.

The role involves leading root-cause analyses, coordinating with supplier/D-side/E-side teams, and mentoring entry-level associates. Domestic and international travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant experience required.
• 2-8 years of experience based on education.
• PQCT/FMEA experience preferred.
• Travel up to 50% of the time (domestic and international).
• Visa sponsorship for employment is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and approve supplier processes including FMEA, PQCT, Operation Standards, and MQS for MP launch.
• Oversee and manage complex problem solving; provide technical engineering expertise and solutions.
• Lead root cause analyses and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Perform in-depth analysis of production processes to minimize customer concerns.
• Identify and resolve negative quality trends in collaboration with suppliers and design teams.
• Confirm incoming parts quality using gages, CMM, and gear/profile checks before builds.
• Support communications with suppliers and other departments regarding countermeasures.
• Mentor new associates in problem solving, procedures and development.
