Job summary

City of Lancaster (CA) seeks a part-time Production Technician to manage production needs for audio, lighting, or scenic rigging for touring, local, and rental productions and events. Under supervision, you will oversee lighting prehangs/restores, load-ins/outs, and backstage operations.

Candidates should have experience in stage management, crew coordination, and safety compliance, with the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Three+ years education and/or experience in theatre arts or related field.
• Currently enrolled in college/university/trade school in theatre or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Stage management for concerts, dance and theatre performances.
• Coordinate crew for production load-ins/load-outs.
• Oversee LPAC crew and tour/client staff for show operations.
• Call season and rental shows as needed.
• Coordinate with Front of House staff for venue and artist needs.
• Apply safety standards for theatrical/event productions.
• Assist in setting stage audio and lighting plots and focus.
