Job summary

Location

The position is based in Waynesboro, VA and will be 100% on-site.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design creative and flexible hardware/software solutions with a motivated team of experts.
• Software design includes Real Time, Pre and Post Processing Data Analytics, UI/UX Design, Instrument Drivers and Utilities, Process Automation.
• Firmware design for simulation and control, SW/HW integration.
• Requirements verification.
• Actively support the investigation, resolution, and documentation of product anomalies.
• Understand Design to Cost.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of experience, Master’s degree with 12 years, or Ph.D. with 10 years in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience with SDLC.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with software languages C, C#, C++, Python.
• Experience with SW integration.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with PLC/HMI Software (e.g., RS View, RS Logix 5000).
• Hardware driver development experience.
• Experience with FPGA programming.
• Firmware design experience (a plus).
• Experience with RTOS.
• Experience with LabWindows CVI, or AMAX (huge plus).
• Technical Lead experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
