Join a design community that addresses unique design challenges which require the combined talents of multiple engineering disciplines including Hardware, Firmware, Software, Mechanical Design, Systems Engineering and Program Management. This position is based out of Waynesboro, VA and will be 100% on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design creative and flexible HW/SW solutions with a motivated team of experts.
• SW Design Examples: Real Time, Pre and Post Processing Data Analytics, UI/UX Design, Instrument Drivers and Utilities, Process Automation.
• Firmware Design for simulation and control; SW/HW integration; Requirements verification.
• Actively support the investigation, resolution and documentation of product anomalies.
• Understanding Design to Cost.
• This role may be filled as a Software Engineer or a Principal Software Engineer.
• Contingent upon ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.

Basic Qualifications

• Test Design Software Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 0 years; in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile environment, and software languages C, C#, C++, Python.
  • Experience with SW integration; effective verbal and written communication.
• Principal Test Design Software Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s with 3 years, or Ph.D. with 1 year; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and SAP.
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile environment, and software languages C, C#, C++, Python.
  • Experience with SW integration; effective verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Hands-on troubleshooting; PLC/HMI Software (e.g., RS View, RS Logix 5000).
• Hardware Driver Development, FPGA programming, RTOS.
• Experience with LabWindows CVI, or AMAX; Technical Lead experience; Active Secret clearance.
