Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join the Site Reliability Engineering team within Tech Foundations. This remote role focuses on building a long-term reliability strategy and scalable, high-availability infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.

As a senior technical contributor, you will mentor engineers, design enterprise-wide SRE architecture, develop production readiness standards, and partner with product teams to ensure resilient services while driving incident management

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with system architecture focus.
• 5+ years as senior technical lead or architect across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to build and scale high-availability, multi-cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop a roadmap with a long-term Reliability vision.
• Design and influence enterprise-wide SRE architecture and standards.
• Create incident management processes scalable with growth and reduce toil.
• Mentor and lead other Site Reliability Engineers through servant leadership.
• Partner with product engineering teams on design choices for large-scale systems.
• Foster a culture of reliability and ownership across the engineering org.
