The Staff Software Engineer drives the design and implementation of mission-critical systems across our platform. As a high level individual contributor, this position leads architectural decisions, influences engineering

Qualifications

Eight years of software engineering experience in designing and shipping large-scale systems.
Proficient in one or more backend/full-stack languages (Java, Go, Python, TypeScript).
Experience with distributed systems, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability practices.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement core services, systems, and APIs for scalability, security, and maintainability.
Provide technical leadership across projects on design, coding practices, and performance.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality solutions.
Lead design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to RFCs.
Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure reliability and uptime.
Promote engineering best practices across teams.
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers.
