Job summary

Upcoresolutions is seeking a highly skilled Sr/Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in a remote-capable role. You will design, develop, and maintain web applications, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers to raise code quality and delivery velocity.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of software development experience, proficiency in Java, C#, or Python, and strong knowledge of front-end technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web-based applications.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Passion for learning and staying updated with industry advancements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications that meet business requirements and adhere to coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, and provide timely resolutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior engineers
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and incorporate them into our development processes
• Participate in the planning and estimation of project timelines and deliverables
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success
