Job summary

Optro is seeking a senior software engineer to lead large, strategic projects and architect scalable solutions. You will build features end-to-end, mentor engineers, and drive front-end and back-end work using Node.js, React/Vue/Ember, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing web based enterprise SaaS applications.
• Experience guiding high quality work through delivery across multiple developers.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Ember, etc.).
• Experience writing REST / JSON APIs (Swagger / OpenAPI Spec).
• Experience writing software tests.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently.
• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Motivation to work hard and always be learning.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features end-to-end
• Ability to write clear and well defined design documentation
• Mentor fellow engineers
• Lead application architecture decisions
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software bugs
• Implement back-end APIs in Node.JS
• Work on our React, Vue, Ember SPA front-end
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers
• Participate in an Agile software development life cycle
• Write well-designed, maintainable & testable code
• Be product-minded and think about the customer
