Job summary

Alkami Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead design reviews and build high-quality scalable software across frontend and backend stacks.

You will own features end-to-end, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior engineers in a remote-first, US-focused environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software development experience, strong Java or C#, and expertise in React, Angular, REST APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure including Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 8 years of related software development experience or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong programming skills in Java or C#, with full stack development experience.
• Experience with React, Angular, HTML and CSS in modern web applications.
• Cloud-native infrastructure experience and Kubernetes proficiency.
• Excellent communication, analytical and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications and perform UI tests.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead on-call incident response.
• Collaborate with product teams and others to drive scalable features.
• Champion an API-first approach and drive adoption of AI-driven engineering practices.
