Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related software development experience; 6 years with an advanced degree
• Strong programming skills in object-oriented languages such as Java or C#
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, HTML/CSS
• Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle and cloud-native infrastructure
• Collaborates effectively within an agile framework; proactive, independent problem-solver
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration
• Experience monitoring production systems, identifying bottlenecks, performance tuning
• Proficiency with REST APIs; security, scalability, and best practices
• Experience building and deploying applications using Kubernetes
• OpenTelemetry experience; on-call rotation capability
• Leads AI-driven engineering practices for code modernization

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and contribute to end-to-end software development
• Participate in the full application lifecycle including coding and debugging
• Write clean, scalable code for web applications
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve production incidents
• Perform UI testing and optimize performance
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and sysadmins on features
• Maintain development standards and tooling across the team
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Respond to on-call incidents promptly to minimize downtime
• Ensure clear communication with customers and vendors
• Champion API-first design for scalable, extensible systems
