Experity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the OnePACS medical imaging platform. This senior individual contributor role focuses on architecture, hands-on engineering, mentorship, and modernization.

The ideal candidate brings strong Java experience and practical knowledge of imaging workflows, capable of leading complex work across legacy and modern systems without people management responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
At least ten years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on Java production systems experience.
Experience leading in complex, business-critical platforms.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across the OnePACS platform and imaging workflows.
Design, develop, maintain, and modernize Java-based services.
Lead architecture discussions for scalability, reliability, security, interoperability.
Support modernization while maintaining production stability.
Mentor engineers through design, code reviews, troubleshooting.
Improve documentation, runbooks, and diagnostics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
Contribute to imaging workflow automation, AI integrations, interoperability.
Work within Agile/Scrum practices.
