Job summary

Experity, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the OnePACS cloud-based medical imaging platform. This senior IC role emphasizes architecture, technical direction, and hands-on engineering to build scalable, reliable systems for radiology workflows.

You will mentor engineers, drive modernization, and collaborate with product and support teams to enhance platform reliability and interoperability. Remote-friendly with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least ten years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with production systems in Java.
• Experience providing technical leadership for complex platforms.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the OnePACS platform and imaging workflows.
• Design, develop, and modernize Java-based services and applications.
• Lead architecture discussions for scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Support modernization while maintaining production stability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues in imaging workflows and interfaces.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
• Improve documentation, runbooks, and diagnostics for repeatable support.
