Job summary

Kaseya is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture of Java-based SaaS platforms and backend services. This hands-on leadership role tackles complex distributed systems challenges across multiple teams, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in production SaaS or distributed systems.
• 6+ years of backend Java development in production.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams or product areas.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive architecture for Java-based platform services, distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven applications across multiple product areas.
• Lead complex technical initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams and domains.
• Stay hands-on with prototyping, critical component implementation, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Architecture leaders to translate priorities into scalable solutions.
• Guide evolution of cloud-native architectures, microservices, data flows, and platform capabilities.
• Improve system performance, availability, observability, security, and readiness.
• Establish engineering standards and reusable patterns for Java development, API design, testing, CI/CD, and operations.
• Mentor Senior and Staff Engineers through architecture reviews and cross-team collaboration.
