Job summary

Kaseya is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of Java-based SaaS platforms and backend services. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes distributed systems, scalability, and production reliability, partnering with Engineering, Product, Security, and Architecture.

You'll mentor engineers, own critical services end-to-end, and drive architectural decisions across domain boundaries while contributing to platform modernization and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production SaaS or distributed systems.
• 5+ years backend Java production services.
• Experience owning a production service from design to operation.
• Experience designing distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience leading multi-service design reviews or initiatives spanning teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Java-based platform services and APIs.
• Own complex services from design through production.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives.
• Remain hands-on with critical components and prod troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Architecture to translate requirements.
• Improve performance, availability, observability, security, and readiness.
• Contribute reusable patterns and standards for Java development, API design, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
• Mentor Senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and knowledge sharing.
