Job summary

Stem Inc is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect for our PowerTrack software platforms. You will drive scalable, high-performance systems that process large energy data while delivering intuitive experiences.

You will mentor engineers, architect data pipelines, and collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD, containers, and robust monitoring. Remote contract with CET/CEST alignment, occasional Berlin travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years in full stack development with track record of delivering complex applications.
• Strong experience with modern web stacks and architectural design.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data pipeline architecture and align current and future designs.
• Act as technical liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack features across web apps and backend services.
• Ensure security best practices in development and deployment of production systems.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
