Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute as both a technical lead and IC. You will help build our next-generation platform, create proofs of concept, and partner with IT leaders to deliver digital assets that empower healthier lives.

You'll design scalable solutions, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor junior developers while driving quality, performance, and delivery in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed software.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing modern microservices and scalable APIs.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years Agile development.
• 2+ years Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions meeting requirements.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions.
• Provide input on performance optimization and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
