Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Optics, Applied Physics, or closely related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of relevant industry experience with technical leadership in optical systems and silicon-photonics.

Responsibilities

• Own the integration architecture for coherent transmission products from component interfaces through optical engine and system.
• Lead design tradeoffs across PICs, DSP/ASICs, drivers, lasers, optics, high-speed interfaces, packaging, PCB, and thermal/mechanical design.
• Develop link budgets, calibration strategies, and predictive models; lead bring-up, DVT, reliability qualification, and root-cause investigations.
• Partner with product, manufacturing, test, quality, firmware, sourcing, foundry, OSAT and suppliers to deliver DFM/DFT, calibration, yield learning, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Shape silicon-photonics roadmaps; evaluate emerging architectures; mentor engineers with data-driven decision making.
